MNSS SNOWBOARDER MARK McMORRIS 2ND AT SNOWBASIN DEW TOUR, AND TORSTEIN HORGMO TAKES THE DEW CUP SLOPESTYLE OVERALL
The Sports Syndicate’s Mark McMorris and Torstein Horgmo had stellar performances on the slopestyle course this weekend at the final stop of the Dew Tour in Snowbasin, UT. Mark threw down a super technical run excelling on the rails and flawlessly landing doubles off the kickers. Torstein was the final athlete to strap in, needing 6th place or higher to secure the overall Dew Cup, Horgmo did not disappoint. True to form, he effortlessly glided through the rail section and nailed his switch backside 12. As chosen by the judges, Mark also walked away with the PlayStation Pro Moment of Year for his Cab 1260 Doublecork Nose grab. With his 3rd place finish at the final stop, Torstein took the Dew Cup. Taking the podium at each event was one of his goals for the season, “I just wanted to do good at the contest and the Dew Cup proves that I did good this season,” Horgmo said. “Getting to 100 percent injury free is my goal now.” Be on the lookout for Mark, Torstein at the US Open at Stratton, VT March 3-7, 2011 and Winter X Games Europe in Tignes, France March 16-18, 2011.
