MNSS PGA GOLFERS JOHN MALLINGER AND JOHN COOK BOTH POST SOLID RESULTS IN TOURNAMENT PLAY OVER THE INDEPENDENCE HOLIDAY WEEKEND
The Sports Syndicate's PGA Tour golfer John Mallinger posted a 3-under-par 33-34=67 in his opening round of the AT&T National. Don't look now but Mallinger is finding his groove. In his last three starts of the year, he's gone T13-MC-T22, and he signed his first round card at the AT&T National just one back of the clubhouse lead. For the final round Mallinger slipped back a few shots but still finished at a solid T16. Expect him to tee it up every week in which he is eligible until he locks up his 2011 PGA Tour card. The Sports Syndicate's PGA Champions Tour golfer John Cook shot his second straight 6-under 66 during the second round at the inaugural Montreal Championship to take a one-stroke lead. Cook eagled the par-5 seventh hole and had four birdies in his bogey-free round at Fontainebleu Golf Club. Cook played a tough final round, despite making 15 birdies and an eagle over his last 53 holes, he finished second overall for the Montreal Championship.
