MNSS SURFER PATRICK GUDAUSKAS FINISHES 2ND AT THE LOCAL MOTION GUARUJA PRO


Patrick Gudauskas took a strong step on October 4th toward qualifying for surfing's major leagues in 2010. His second-place showing at the Local Motion Guaruja Pro in Brazil elevated him to fourth in the ASP's World Qualifying Series standings. He'd been fifth. It's significant because it solidifies his standing late in the season. He earned his highest point score so far this season, 2,100 points, and gets to discard a 1,225 from his previous best-seven results, upon which ratings are based.The top 15 WQS surfers normally qualify.
